Count Barkula was born in the beginning of lockdown when I was experiencing Zoom call fatigue and extreme cabin fever.
Graphic Designer by trade, I was looking for outlets that would satisfy my creative nature and utilize my design skills while limiting screen time. I was craving something real and something warm and I found it in clay.
The inspiration came easy in a shape of my beloved housemate and full time goof @victorlewhippet and I certainly try to capture his sassy nature in every piece I make.
All of the works are fully hand made and hand painted with love in Hackney, East London. If you see something you like but it is sold out or not quite right - send me a message and I might be able to do a bespoke piece.
